CONTAINER throughput in June at the Port of Fremantle was above the average for 2018, according to the latest statistics available from the port.
June saw a total of 63,819 TEU cross the wharves at Freo, up 10% on the same month last year, but June 2018’s throughput was down 6% on the previous month.
June’s throughput was just 1% more than the average monthly throughput for the first half of 2018.
Overseas exports in June rose 1% on the previous month to 31,675 TEU, while overseas imports fell 16% to 23,903 TEU.
Total coastal trade decreased by 1% on May 2018 to 8241 TEU.
